i guess that i'm a writer, but i know i'm no Shakespeare and yet my only fear is that my muse may disappear. I can see her on the greyhound, she’s seated at the rear. She got off downtown by the pier and caught a yellow cab back here. And this is not the first time.
She says “the universe always will provide,” and there’s no need to hide when the galaxy’s on your side. This is not the first time and it sure won't be the last time.
She only ever saw you as a ticket out of here, and when it became clear, after perhaps a year, that you were going nowhere, she upped and disappeared. It's not the first time, I bet it won’t be the last time.
No the years have not been kind on my fragile state of mind.
